Power BI Developer

Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data visualization principles and experience working with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and related technologies. This role requires the ability to translate business requirements into insightful and actionable dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
• Gather and analyze business requirements to understand data needs and visualization objectives.
• Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI Desktop.
• Develop data models and relationships to support complex data analysis and reporting requirements.
• Connect Power BI to various data sources, including databases, data warehouses, and online services.
• Optimize performance and usability of Power BI solutions by applying best practices and performance tuning techniques.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and refine data visualizations to ensure they meet business needs.
• Train end-users on how to use and interpret Power BI dashboards and reports effectively.
• Stay current on Power BI updates, features, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions and enhancements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1 to 15+ years of experience in business intelligence development or related roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
• Experience with data modeling, data analysis, and SQL queries.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Power BI certification is a plus.
• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or Looker.
• Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate, Azure Data Factory).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS for hosting and managing Power BI solutions.
